Rock climbing

The gritstone edges of the Peak District are a great place to have a go at rock climbing and places like Stanage and Burbage have a wide selection of appropriate rock climbs ranging in height from 5 to 30 metres. Initially we choose routes which are ideal for beginners and will build confidence in participants whilst they learn new skills like belaying. There are plenty of harder routes on these crags which allow improving climbers to test their skills too.

Please note this activity is weather-dependent so will usually have caving, rock hopping or stream scrambling as back-up options if raining heavily.

Suitable for:
KS4, KS3 and KS2
Duration:
1/2 or full day
