Completing your Duke of Edinburgh Award with the support of Notts Outdoors
The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) can be done by absolutely anyone aged 14-24.
We fully support the DofE ethos and go the extra mile to enable the participation of young people in the award with experienced, not to mention enthusiastic staff and volunteers who are there to support you and your team every step of the way.
The award is structured in a way for you to choose a programme of appropriate activities for you to enjoy in your spare time. There are three Award levels to conquer; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Gold, understandably, takes the longest time to complete and is the hardest level - people usually start off on the Bronze award and work their way up. However, you can start on Silver or Gold levels directly from the age of 15 and 16.
We have three Access Centres where you can register to take part in the DofE award, these are located around the county.
In-person sessions are generally run one evening during weekday evenings and training walks/ expeditions run during the weekends or school holidays.
Sign up with Notts Outdoors and challenge yourself to go that extra mile. Drop the team an email at awardsoffice@nottscc.gov.uk or call 0115 9 775 775.
