Camp Redwood

There is something magical about Camp Redwood. This unique venue provides pupils with the opportunity to get back to basics with outdoor experiences designed to help them develop and grow. 

Camping in bell tents amongst the impressive Redwood trees in the beautiful grounds of Thoresby estate, this residential camp visit really does provide an environment that promotes a digital detox and allows you to immerse yourself in the wonderful outdoors.

Camp Redwood is the perfect environment for larger groups, it can accommodate up to 3 classes plus staff within spacious bell tents.

Camp Redwood is the perfect environment for Year 7 transition camps or Primary School end-of-year rewards ideal for full year group or several schools within a multi-academy trust.

Our goal is to allow individuals a ‘digital detox’, a chance to experience nature without the modern distractions of screens, whilst developing skills needed back in the classroom.  Activities will focus on resilience, confidence, problem-solving and teamwork.  Our programme of activities is built around what is available in the natural environment, such as shelter building, low-ropes challenges, and roasting marshmallows around a campfire which students will light themselves!  All our activities are designed to encourage team participation and self-reflection.

Our prices are inclusive of all food and activities, except from the packed lunch groups bring on the first day.

Groups will have exclusive use of the camp and its facilities for the duration of their stay

At least one Notts Outdoors instructor will remain on-site overnight.
