Mini Den Building

In this new and exciting activity at Sherwood Forest, the children will construct tiny dens from natural materials found in the forest. This activity Invites creative thinking, play and an introduction to den building on a small scale. Children will also have a chance to construct Nottingham castle from wooden blocks and play with wooden Robin Hood character figures. Labelling of the dens allows children to decode and read words whilst listening to poetry and rhyme within the session.

This session includes a Robin Hood themed scavenger hunt (if time allows). The day will end with a Robin Hood themed story/poem in the forest or back at the log circle area at our classroom.
