Bestwood Environmental Education Centre

Set in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, Bestwood Environmental Education Centre is ideal for many activities. We offer a range of outdoor learning opportunities for all age groups.

With 650 acres of diverse landscapes, wildlife, and industrial heritage including the famous Bestwood Winding Engine House, this site offers a fantastic setting for a wide range of hands-on learning experiences. From orienteering to traditional tales your students will have an unforgettable time exploring nature.

A unique feature of Bestwood Environmental Education Centre is its focus on Roman history and the Stone Age, providing engaging opportunities for students to develop their understanding of British history. Through immersive, hands-on activities, your class will step back in time, and gain a deeper appreciation of historical changes. These exciting experiences are designed to support chronological learning in a fun and interactive way.
